Just because you never dated him doesn't mean he can't stalk you once you've dumped him.

Do I miss George W. Bush yet? Hmm. Let me think.

Uh, no.

Hell, no.

Absolutely freakingly no.

Still, it's nice of him to cheer me up when I'm not entirely happy with our current president. The improvement over his predecessor is significant.
It is getting more and more difficult for me to believe that the improvement is significant.
Admittedly, we now have a guy I'd like to have a beer with, instead of a guy that some other folks would like to have a beer with.

But the murdering and torturing covering up murdering and torturing and selling us out to bankers continues at about the same pace, as far as I can tell.

Plus we have now revealed just what pathetic, abject cowards the congressional democrats really are. I would probably rather not have known.

On the bright side, I'm ordering a bunch of books on fascism to find out what comes next.

Ooooo...a cliff hanger!

Albrt, were you sentient in 2002?
Republicans are now praying that Americans develop Stockholm Syndrome, break down and weep in tears of joy for Big Brother.

Sounds like a plan.

Zeno, what 'improvements' there may be are aesthetic, i.e., marketing and window dressing. This may make a difference for you, but my results decidedly differ.

Sotomayor is on the Supreme Court rather than another right-wing ideologue like the appointees of George W. Bush (Roberts and Alito). That counts for a lot. A solid right-wing majority on the court would cause enormous long-lasting damage.

I would dearly love the White House and the Democrats in congress to show more spine and I don't like settling for scraps, but the departure of George W. Bush is an unalloyed goodness.
Supreme Court's good. Better if, well, more things happen. Still better if he doesn't decide he has to show bipartisanship and put Newt in there. He's just about... I won't say crazy enough, but he's just about Obama enough.

Best of all, I can turn on the TV and not have to hear that other guy try to talk, or see him smirk or pooch out his lower lip in his "now I have gravitas" expression. That's worth something.
Obama is wearing your team's shirt.
fivetonsflax, are you sentient now?

@Joe Blow: don't know what you've been smoking, but you should think of quitting. No one who is successful in the US can dream of coming close to "hating whites." Sotomayor is more conservative than I would like, but seriously, back away from the glue jar.

How do I not miss thee...let me count the ways...
I don't want to drink with any of those people, let alone date 'em.

I'm just sayin'.
How can I miss him when his damage won't go away?
I'm gonna have agree with albrt
haha. that's rediculous.
